Frequently Asked Questions
How do I upload a resume?
Go to the dashboard and drag a PDF into the upload area, or click Browse Files. The app starts parsing automatically after a valid PDF is selected.
What happens after parsing?
FolioResume saves a structured resume record, opens the editor, and lets you review extracted profile, experience, education, skill, project, and certificate details.
How do public portfolio links work?
Each saved resume can have a portfolio link. Anyone with that link can view the public portfolio content, so only share it with people who should see it.
Why should I review AI output?
Resume parsing is automated and may miss details or interpret content incorrectly. Always review the editor before exporting or sharing.
Can I download my resume?
Yes. Open My Resumes, choose a resume, click the three-dot menu, and select PDF or DOCX. PDF is designed to match the on-screen preview closely.
Troubleshooting
If upload fails, confirm the file is a PDF and try again. If the parsed data looks incomplete, edit it manually before exporting. If a portfolio link shows old information, save the latest resume/profile changes and refresh the portfolio page.
