How to turn your resume into a portfolio website

A resume is a compact record of your qualifications. A portfolio gives that record a web address and room for project context, skills and links to your work. Use your resume for the application document and your portfolio to help someone explore the work behind it.

AI can organize the information already in your PDF. It cannot supply missing evidence, verify your achievements or decide which projects best fit your next role. Those choices are part of your review.

Choose the version that matches the role or type of client you want to reach. Check that your name, contact details and project links are current. Clear headings such as Experience, Education, Skills and Projects make the content easier to review after extraction.

• Try selecting and copying a sentence from the PDF. If it is an image-only scan, exporting a fresh PDF from the original document may make extraction more reliable.
• Use consistent dates and separate each role or project into its own entry.
• Remove information you do not want on a public website, including your full home address or private client details.
• Keep a copy of the original so you can compare it with the parsed content.

Open the public link in a signed-out browser to confirm what a recruiter or client will see. Add it to the website field in your professional profile, your resume contact section and relevant job applications. Keep using the requested resume attachment when an application asks for one.
